Château d'Anet

A summer luncheon in Normandy in the park of the château d'Anet, also known to have been the house of Diane de Poitiers, the mistress of Henry II of France.

It is said that she used to drink gold, to stay young and beautiful.

The emblem of Diane de Poitiers are cresents, that we used as shapes for making brown butter sablés.

On the menu: chicken salad with edible flowers from the garden, giant parsley gnocchi covered in parmesan, little gems with tarragon vinaigrette, parsley cake with praline and poached cherries, fresh strawberries from Dreux, homemade sablés and giant chocolate cigarettes.
